Description
The featured Westinghouse 50-VCP-350 is a 1200A frame, 5k V class, 350 mVA rated, electrically operated, draw-out style vacuum circuit breaker. This particular unit was originally manufactured in 1988 and hadn’t been regularly serviced. Our customer decided to send it to our CBS Service Shop for a complete evaluation. Our service shop determined the breaker needed to be fully reconditioned and have all its auxiliary switches rebuilt. All three of its vacuum bottles and the trip coil also needed to be replaced. Upon completion of this work, the breaker was sent back to the customer and put back into service.
