Description
The featured General Electric AKU-2A-25 EO/DO is a 600 A Frame, 600-V class, 200-kAIC rated, electrically operated, draw-out style fused air circuit breaker. Although the featured AKU-2A-25 is electrically operated, manually operated AKU-2A-25 breakers are available. The AKU-2A-25 is designed to go into GE-type AKD-5 switchgear.
This unit was sent to our facility as part of an ongoing life extension project. The customer’s breaker was fully reconditioned, tested, and retrofitted with a brand new AC Pro II digital solid-state trip device to replace the original antiquated EC series magnetically operated overcurrent trip devices.
